Sunday with Daddy

Daddy and his girls relaxing watching TV. (Ok so Brady just watches Daddy and the baby).

I just walked out there and caught them both snoozing. Finley's Gator onesie says "Future Tailgater".

Our First Dinner Out

We went out for pizza with Christine, Ryan and Jacob.
Align CenterFinley and Jacob decided to sleep only until the pizza came and then they wanted to eat too. So dinner "out" became dinner for the babies "out" in the car. But Christine and I did manage to quickly get down some yummy pizza first.

Shopping Trip

Christine and I took Jacob and Finley to the mall. It was a lot of fun though they seemed to have some kind of covert baby communication going on, because they would literally cry, want to eat, poop, and sleep (briefly) at the same time. If one did it, the other would follow. It was wild. We called it the tour of bathrooms because we spent most of the day nursing and changing with some moments of shopping (and lunch) in between.

Here is the man... Mr. Jacob saying Hi. He was very cool to tolerate a day of shopping with the girls.

Here we are at the nicest stop on the tour of bathrooms. They actually had wipe warmer's, nursing chairs, and a TV... all those times at the mall and now its a whole new world!

My 1st Bottle

Mommy has been diligently pumping so that Daddy can share in the joy of feeding the sweet girl-- it is truly precious time together.

Michelle's 30th

Last weekend we celebrated our neighbor and friend, Michelle's, 30th birthday. Here is another one of our neighbors and great friends, Rachel, holding Finley. Rachel and Mike just found out they are having a boy. He's due September 11th.

Here is the birthday girl. Michelle and Gary are expecting twins due in October! (Check out the two babies on the cake)

Party in the Park

Chris, Finley, and I went to celebrate my co-worker, Sybil's, baby shower. It was a beautiful afternoon in the park in St. Pete. Her little girl is due just before I return to work (beginning of June).

One Month Old

I'm one month old and my mom can't believe it! I'm growing like a weed too! My clothes are getting too small and this adorable doll from my my daddy's cousin and family used to be just about my size if not bigger than me (just a week ago!)

Protective Sister

Brady is very well behaved with her new little sister.

My 1st Dinner Date

Here are Finley and Jacob... Jacob is the son of our friends we met at our hospital Childbirth Preparation class. Jacob was due on Finley's birthday but Jacob decided he didn't want to come for another 3 days.We went over to their house for dinner and had a great time discussing life with the babies. Of course the babies decided when it was time to sit down for dinner they would wake up and start a chorus of cries. So Jacob's mommy Christine and I ate dinner with the babies in their sling/carriers.

Friends

We were so glad to have our friends Jason and Cindy come visit with their 6 month old daughter Madison. Jason and I have known each other since childhood as our moms are close friends and we met Cindy after reuniting with Jason when they moved to DC while we lived there. We were literally together nearly every weekend and sometimes more while we lived there. We hate that they're not closer now but it was so great to see them. We keep hoping they'll move closer so the girls can hang out and so can the parents! They also brought Miss Finley a gator outfit which is a big deal because Jason is as crazy about Florida State as I am about Florida.

My favorite place

Finley absolutely loves her changing table. Whenever we put her on the changing table she opens her eyes and looks around. And she is starting to coo and always does on the table especially when that diaper comes off. And as a side note; she also always seems to sneeze on her changing table... Chris teases me that it's the organic pad I insisted we get.

Strolling Around

I love my rides in the stroller... mom likes to walk the neighborhood, but we also hit some other important places too like the mall (Tiffany's) :), Target, and mom's work.

"Snuggly"

Don't you just want to snuggle with me?!

Strong Girl

Finley loves being upright or to hang over your shoulder... this was taken after her 3 week photo shoot. She was so good sleeping through hours of photos and then peeing on daddy and squirt-pooping on mommy for taking naked photos and not getting that diaper back on soon enough!

She is so strong... she's been picking her head up since about 2 weeks and can roll to her side. Here's the head-lift in action.

This was her first nap in her crib at 3 weeks. She was waking up .. she stretches and then usually rolls to her side if she's not swaddled.

So Loved... 3 weeks old

These were taken of sweet girl at 3 weeks old...

Outfits from Nana... "Daddy Loves Me"

"Mommy Adores Me" (Truly the understatement of the year).

Gator Girl

Touchdown!

My Heisman pose

This is my "T" for Tim Tebow.

Although we all know Mommy is a FANatic... I promise I did no posing for these shots and I got them 3 in a row. It just gets passed down in the DNA when you bleed orange and blue :) Thanks Jac for the great onesie! This post and pictures are dedicated to my "Gator Buddy" Rory who just went underway with the Navy headed for Japan. We love you and are thinking of you!

2 week Pediatrician Visit

At our 2 week visit with the Pediatrician Finley did great. She has gained almost 11 oz. since her 3 day visit and grown half an inch.

All tuckered out from the Dr's visit.

Two weeks old

Bath Time

Nana came over for Finley's first real bath.

This is what Finley first thought of the bath...

and then quickly decided she likes baths.

Big sister Brady is always watchful nearby.

Visit with Papaw

Papaw and Memaw came to visit and brought yummy Spaghetti dinner
