My First Gator Game

Ok so I only watched a few minutes of the first Gator Game and then it was naptime. I have a little cold (it may have something to do with putting everything in sight into my mouth!) so mom let me nap with her on the couch.

GO GATORS!

The new fashion: food wearing.

We now eat our cereal quite a bit thicker than we did in this photo just a week ago, but no matter the thickness, its typically a mess and a great reason to get a bath before bed... one of my other favorite things to do!

Me and my squirty toy gator are gearing up for Football Season!!

Weekends

I love getting to hang out and play on the weekends with my family...

I especially love it when my Nana and Mimi come up to love on me!

And Aunt Julie and Cousin Maddie too! I think it's important to reach out and GRAB the ones you love!

What?!?

You mean to tell me YOU can't reach your toes to your mouth??! C'mon, just try! It's EASY! I'm just a baby and I can do it... see?!

Life is Good

She's such a happy girl... her disposition is really coming through, and it just gets better all the time. She lights up the room with that toothless grin.

We're becoming a pro at the cereal eating and looking like a big girl more and more each and everyday (though still a peanut). She's so curious about the world around her and is reaching out for objects and loving to explore them with her mouth. I can't believe she's going to be 6 months old soon! SLOW DOWN!! She loves time on the floor to be free to kick and move and play. We were playing in her room after baby school while daddy was cooking and he took a break to come in and play for a minute... I'm not sure who's more in awe of who...

Close-Up!

We rarely let Brady this close, and right after this near-sniff/lick, was pulled away by daddy, but mom had to get the close-up :)

Everything goes in the mouth these days!

5 months!

Baby in the Basket on her 5 month Birthday. Its been a pretty busy few weeks for us, but we're doing great. Two weeks ago we celebrated the marriage of cousin Shannon and Rob. It was a beautiful wedding and Finley and Nana had a fun night together while mom and dad were out. The next day we got to visit with family we haven't seen in a long time, especially cousin Shay, Chris and their 4 little ones (Brad, Cole, Blake, & Ella). They're adorable and it was fun watching them play with Finley. The oldest 3 definitely have the big brother thing down. I'll try to get some pictures from Grandma to post (I forgot my camera!). Last week we celebrated Rachel and Baby-Koen-to-be (soon!) at a baby shower at our house. This past weekend we went to see Michelle and the boys-to-be at the hospital to celebrate her making it to the 31 week mark. She's been there 5 weeks now and doing so great. She's helping the boys get bigger and stronger so when they are born they can come home sooner to play! :) That night we went to see Christine, Ryan and Jacob and some of their friends. That was fun... Jacob is such a big boy, its hard to tell now we're the same age. The next day, for my 5 month birthday, we had a play day with Megan and Trey while the big boys went fishing. It was Trey's 10 week birthday and he's bigger than Finley! He gave Finley some diapers he's grown out of, which is pretty funny considering she's more than twice his age! Oh well... boys will be boys. We went to the mall and of course we all got some new clothes (Girls will be girls!). It was a great weekend!

I'm growing lots of new fuzzy soft hair and filling out a bit. (Maybe not as much as Jacob and Trey, but really, those boys are BIG! I can't possibly keep up with them.) :)

My eyes are still a heart-melting blue and my smile appears to be contagious.

I'm very curious about all the sounds and sights going on around me right now. I can turn to find sounds and will turn my head if you call my name.

Time Together

Finley and I both love spending time with Nana...

Snuggling post-bath in PJs is some of our favorite time together.

Cereal

We tried cereal for the first time... at first she had no idea what to do with this crazy stuff but decided after a few spoonfuls, it was indeed food and she would allow some of it to grace the belly, not just the chin!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Chris, Rachel and Baby Koen-to-be before their birthday dinner (Rachel's birthday is 2 weeks before Chris's so we celebrated together and Baby Koen's is supposed to be September 11th).
Chris and Aunt Melinda share a birthday so Mattison and Grandma worked hard on this cake for them!

Last year this time, we were announcing the pregnancy at a nervous and excited 7 weeks as Chris celebrated 30. We can't believe how fast it's gone.
