YAY! My Aunt Nicole and Uncle Tom are here to spend Easter with me!!
Finley LOVES bunnies... she signs and says it these days and sleeps with her bunny loveys every night. She giggled and squealed when she saw the Easter Bunny-- but wasn't so sure about sitting with him...
So I sat with her and she started to warm up again...
Especially when he gave her "High 5"!!
Two weeks ago we got to spend time with some of my oldest and closest girlfriends from high school and get our kids together. It was so great to catch up and watch the little ones play.
Above is Robin's daughter Kaitlyn getting a kiss from Ben, Kristin's little guy. And below Ben and Finley check out Kaitlyn's bumbo seat.
Kaitlyn and Finley were fun to watch... I have to admit that Finley gave Kaitlyn a hard time, almost in a big-sister sort of way. She wanted her toys and tried to take her pacifier... and really made her upset when she snuggled with her mom...
We rearranged Finley's room so that it was more pre-walker friendly... now there's more room for her to roam and all of her favorite things are in baskets on the floor where she can get to them. Of all her baskets, she goes straight to the book bin every time. Books are definitely her favorite "toy". That makes me happy and I hope she continues to love them as she grows. She especially loves Sandra Boynton books. Her favorite is "Moo Baa La La La". She loves to shake her finger and say "Nah Nah Nah" for "no no no" (the part in the book where you correct them for saying the "pigs say "la la la" instead of "oink"). I'm sure you wanted the Cliffs notes version of a baby book :). I'm really good at that-- that mom-thing where I think everything she does is absolutely precious and fascinating and I'm so sure everyone else will too! :) I'm laughing out loud at myself right now, but I have to keep the post the way it is... because after all, if you're here reading this, you know what you're in for. It IS all about her. :)
She actually did pretty well... if I got the food on the spoon first. Not that I expect her to master the utensils quite yet, but it made her crack-up and for some cute after-baby-school photos.
Hanging out at Papaw and Grandma's house... Here they are swinging on the swingset Papaw built...
Finley loved playing piano with Papaw... maybe she grow up to learn to play like Mommy and Papaw or at least learn to appreciate music. She definitely seems to love it already...
I think Finley popped a bubble in her face-- check out the face in the photo above... and as always, the feet crossed! :) Below she's trying to pop a bubble in the air, but I like to think she was celebrating her and Jake being ONE!! We didn't coordinate them both wearing green, but it was cute for the photos!!
